SmartGrowth is a real estate investment fund that invests in housing, retail, and commercial projects in urban communities. The Fund engages primarily in rehabilitation and repositioning of projects. Its mission is to help rebuild America's cities through prudent investment and management of urban in- fill development projects.

SmartGrowth was founded by Mr. Neville Anderson, who has more than 15 years of experience in real estate investment management and finance. Mr. Anderson is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nevander Assets Manag ement, Inc., a real estate asset management and investment firm that is the managing partner of the SmartGrowth Opportunity Fund. Under his manage ment, Nevander Asset Management grew to more than $1 billion in assets under management.
